Rolling the Perfect Joint
Ever struggle trying to roll a perfect J? Don’t worry, Green Point can show you the way! Here are some tips and tricks to rolling a perfect joint
Rolling Tray
While rolling trays aren’t necessarily a required tool, it is very helpful and makes things more efficient. Rolling trays can give you a balanced surface to help keep things steady. It also will catch any flower that falls in the process and it holds all of the materials needed to roll perfectly so you aren’t scurrying for things while your hands are busy.
The Filter
It is very important to have a filter or a “tip”. This not only keeps the “Scooby Snacks” out of your mouth, but it also helps guide the entire process of rolling to make things smooth, quick, and easy. Tips can be made out of any thick form of paper such as the packaging of the papers, an index card, or even a rotini noodle! We recommend purchasing pre-rolled tips or papers that come with tips already in the packaging.
Grinding up your Flower
Grinding your flower is another important aspect of rolling the perfect joint. Sure you can break it up with your fingers, but by doing that you lose the fluffiness of the buds and risk getting some stems in there which could potentially rip through the paper messing up your whole joint. A bonus of grinding up your flower is that you can also saver the kief and potentially use it in your joint to make it burn better and it would add some potency.
Now that you know the essentials, here are Step by Step Instructions for rolling your joint:
1.Place your filter to the left side of your paper
2.Place the ground up flower to the right side of the filter Don’t add too much flower that you can’t roll the paper around it
3.Shimmy and spread the material evenly down the paper using your pointer finger and your thumb in a “rolling” motion
4.Tuck in the left side of the paper around the filter and then start tucking the rest of the paper so that it lines up with the first tuck.
Continuing in the shimmy motion with your pointer finger and thumb will help with this step
5.Pack the flower down from the top as it starts to push out. Use a pointy object to pack flower down such as a packer tool or a tip of a pen.
6.Once joint has started to form a cone like shape, Lightly lick the top of the paper where the adhesive is
7.Pack the flower down again by tapping it on the tray, or a flat surface
8.Twist the top
